4.3" Color TFT Touch

With a vivid 4.3" TFT color display, the Cascade 4300 is a perfect fit for light industrial or residential applications. The ARM9 processor runs all WinCE and Linux operating systems at 533 MHz with up to 128 MB of RAM. USB, 10/100 Mbs Ethernet and RS-485 connections are standard for quick integration with a variety of common communication networks. Applications or screen images can be quickly uploaded through an SD card reader and the proximity sensor can be used to wake up the device when a user approaches. Available in a sheet metal panel mount configuration, the Cascade 4300 will adapt easily to your system configuration.

The Cascade series comes standard with resistive touch capability but an optional Crystal Touch projected capacitive touch panel is also available.

Ocular’s Cascade 4300 series is best used for light industrial or residential applications. Utilizing an ARM9 processor, the 4300 is shipped with the WinCE operating system. The processor runs at 533 MHz with up to 128 MB.

Cascade 4300 units communicate with networks, or other industrial controls, via 10/100 MB Ethernet port and an RS-485 jack. Also included in the unit are an SD Card slot and two USB ports: one for host purposes and one for the device. Additional features of the Cascade 4300 are a wide TFT with a 480 x 272 resolution and a bright white, adjustable backlight.

The Cascade 4300 can be stored from -40° to 85°C and can operate from 0° to 50°C.

Current models feature a 4.3” color TFT + 4-wire resistive touch panel; however, custom versions of the Cascade 4300 are available to include Ocular’s projected capacitive touch panel: Crystal Touch. Visit the Customized Options tab to learn more.

Customizable Options

  • Linux Operating System
    • Upon request, Ocular will pre-load the Linux operating system to the Cascade 4300
  • Crystal Touch Projected Capacitive Touch Panels
    • Projected capacitive touch panels make products more durable and gives an upgraded look and feel. The leading-edge look of Crystal Touch, with the option of either single touch or multi-touch functionality, enhances the Cascade 4300 by improving sunlight readability and increasing clarity.
  • ITAPS Temperature Control
    • Intelligent Thermal And Power Supervisor (ITAPS) monitors input power, internal and external temperature and other environmental factors and takes action should a set threshold level be exceeded.
  • IP54 Sealing
    • Adding the IP54 sealing provides an advanced level of protection from dust and water. The additional sealing keeps out sufficient amount of dust and splashing water from any direction, increasing the ruggedness of the Cascade 4300.
  • Variety of Power Input Options
    • Product can have multiple sources of power input, upon request.
